California Covid-19 Workplace Outreach Project

Above - Selected pages from a workbook style booklet that helped workers recognize retaliation in the workplace, and learn what necessary steps to take to successfully file a complaint.
The California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA) launced a wide-spread health and labor rights campaign to reach frontline workers during the pandemic. With over 60 grassroots organizations working together, I led the development of key campaign outreach materials to educate and empower workers on their health and safety rights.

I engaged organizations in a participatory design process to co-build the content and visual designs so that they would culturally resonate with workers in their communities. Each asset was translated into over 16 different languages and had visual imagery that reflected and represented the diverse audiences and industries we were trying to reach.

This project was done while I was Creative Director at Shared Value Media.
