Harlem United is a non-profit that advances health equity in Harlem, NYC through healthcare, housing, and harm reduction.

As Creative Director, I led my team in developing their new website. My team consisted of a senior designer, an account manager, and a web developer. The client came to us with an older website that they felt over time had gotten messy, and disorganized. They were looking for consistency, visual cohesian, and for their key audiences to be able to find what they needed. 

To begin with we went through a website audit, led focus groups with key stakeholders and developed an updated IA reccomendation. One of the biggest challenges was to parse down information to get down to the priority content and priority pathways. After several user experience research sessions with Harlem United’s staff and community we were able to develop a prototype to help the client envision how different audiences would move through the site and what information and content would communicate their key messaging. Moreover we were able to prioritize their goals of creating a page to support them through donations and other methods as well as a section devoted to help those looking for care to find it easily.

Apart from the website we also produced several print assets to raise awareness and support their work.
